The CarboHaler has boosted my energy, endurance, and fitness
I want to share my experience with the CarboHaler. We began with about 5 minutes a day at 2-3% CO2 for five days, and honestly, we didn’t feel anything. We were a bit disappointed, but since we understood the science behind it, we knew there had to be some benefits, even if we couldn’t feel them right away.
After five days with no noticeable effects, we decided to go all out and increase the CO2. On the sixth day, we used the CarboHaler for 6 minutes at 7.5% CO2 in the morning right after waking up, then again at 2 PM, and once more in the evening. During these sessions, we both felt a bit uneasy, almost stressed out, and we both felt like we had to focus on our breathing because an ever so tiny feeling of suffocation set in, most concise on the last session of the day. I even had to distract myself by scrolling through Instagram to take my mind off it.
Just for context, my friend works as an emergency doctor and I work as a paramedic, both pretty high-stress jobs, and on top of that I’ve felt on edge for the past year due to a lot going on in my life.
Fatigue and muscle tension disappeared overnight - we feel unstoppable
But here’s where it gets interesting: the next day, we did the same routine—three 6-minute sessions at 7.5% CO2. The uneasiness was still there, but suddenly, we both experienced a massive energy boost. It was exactly like Anders describes it. Now, we feel unstoppable. Symptoms like fatigue and muscle tension disappeared overnight. I even managed to do 57 push-ups right after using the CarboHaler, whereas my max was 28 just a week prior—an improvement of over 100%.
Since then, things have only gotten better. After a 12-hour workday, I now have enough energy to cook, clean, grocery shop, take my dog on long walks, and sometimes even fit in a workout—all on top of my job.
My ergometer shows a watt increase by 10%
When I do long distance cycling my ergometer shows a watt increase by 10%. This is a huge increase, as many cyclists shave their legs, buy aerodynamic socks, and spend thousands of $$ to improve their aerodynamics and thereby increase their watt by, like 0.1… 😅
- 1 hour cycling, without using the CarboHaler before: Heart rate 160 and Watt 280
- 1 hour cycling, using the CarboHaler before (8 minutes at 7.5%): Heart rate 160 and Watt 308 (10% increase!)
Normally when I bike it takes 30-45 minutes to get into the zone, with a constant battle between the mind and the legs. When I use the CarboHaler before cycling, I am right there in the zone almost immediately. A few months ago I was injured and couldn’t train for a couple of weeks. When I got up on the bike again, I noticed how out of shape I was, so it was really hard in the beginning.
I have set a number of new personal best and lost eight kilo
A few weeks ago, i.e. after I started with the CarboHaler, I had another break for a couple of weeks. But this time, when I started biking again, I wasn’t out of shape at all, almost like I had never even had a break.
I have set a number of new cycling personal best during the last eight weeks. I have also lost eight kg since I started with Conscious Breathing - CarboHaler, Relaxator, taping my mouth shut at night, and nasal breathing during physical activity. That is one kg per week. Despite a lot of training and meal plans before, I was not able to lose the extra weight, and I have never been fitter.
